Food is one of my passions. Here is a place where I share what’s been on my plate. Literally.

I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and am currently working at a large university hospital in Portland, OR as an Administrative Dietitian in the food and Nutrition Services Department. In the first few months at my job, I have helped to create a healthy lunch menu for child care center. One of the main projects I am currently involved in is the implementation of menu labeling at all of the retail cafes.

Although I am currently gaining experience in the management and food service side of dietetics, my first and foremost passion is in nutrition counseling and education. In the future I hope to gain the skills and experience in one-on-one nutritional counseling in patient care.

On my downtime, I enjoy cooking and throwing dinner parties with friends. Recently I have explored the world of vegetarianism and am now a pescetarian (I don’t really like to label myself though). Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I also love to try new foods from different cultures. When I’m not in the kitchen or eating, I like to go running outside, hiking out in the forest, play board games with friends, and play with my dog, Griffey.
